The Wrap Up
It's odd to think we've done an entire semester if schooling during a pandemic. There were a lot of things that we had to do differently this year, some good and some bad. All in all, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We read some wonderful stories, watched a decent movie, wrote some lively blogs, and were able to meet as normally as possible. I really can't complain about this one, which s odd considering I can normally complain about nearly anything. In the long run, I hope the efforts made throughout this semester work out well for us.
Being completely honest, I am not sad to see this semester end. This was a hard run, and with zero breaks added in, an exhausting one as well. Winter break being extra long is definitely something I am looking forward to. Christmas cookies are about to be baked in plentiful amounts. Hallmark movies will be binged day and night to satisfy the heart. A tree and bright lights soon to be put up will (hopefully) bring cheer and joy that is much needed at the end of a ridiculous year. Hot cocoa and yummy treats are to be shared. Cards mailed to and from loved ones we have not been able to see in a while will be able to bring a sense of togetherness. FaceTime and phone calls utilized in order to bring loved ones together for the holidays. New Years resolutions that are sure to be broken (by me, at least).
Overall, I know this wild year could have been worse, but it could have been a whole lot better to. Here's to good health, wealth, and a spring semester that is hopefully more kind to me than this fall one was.
